15 things that change when you have a baby

Babies are indeed bundle of joy which comes with whole new changes to your life. There are also many surprises that comes along too and that’s why it’s important to equip yourself with as many valuable information as possible so you know what to expect. As my journey of becoming a parent has progressed, I think this is what I will say are the changes that came alongside.

 1)  Your baby becomes your ‘boss’. Your bundle of joy sets your schedule and the sweetness of it comes from the fact that you don’t need a clock any more.

2) You respect your parents and love them in a new way.

3) You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.

4) You respect your body in a great way.

5) You discover an inner strength you never thought you had.

6) Everyday is a surprise.

7) You see yourself being pleased rather than repulsive at bodily functions (Hooray! A poo).

8) You may find yourself become more concerned about what you eat and try to live a healthy life.

9) You realise you can love an entirely different person even more than yourself.

10) You will realise how precious time is and won’t dare take it for granted especially your free time.

11) You will realise that no amount of pictures or videos of your baby can be too much.

12) If you are the type that hates going to the doctor when you feel unwell, you'll find yourself not contemplating even for a minute when it comes to taking your baby to the doctor.

13) Knowing that they do more of staring and observing from few months old, you'll become very conscious of your behaviour as you don’t want to set bad examples.

14) You see yourself really having great time watching TV channels for babies.

15) You kiss and hug your baby even when you are running late.

Lastly, even if you think some changes are horrible and messy, believe me, it won’t bother you in the long run. I think most parents would agree with me that having a baby is so, so worth it.
Just think of this as a mental preparation.
